Our Background

Bronzeville Helping Hands

Bronzeville Helping Hand Inc. is a 501(c)(3) community development nonprofit based in Chicago’s historic Bronzeville neighborhood. Founded in 2001 The organization has grown into a key partner for South Side residents in need. With a mission to provide housing, food, healthcare access, and education, BHH offers year‑round services including free meals, clothing and coat drives, literacy and job training, transitional support for returning citizens, community gardening, and outreach programs.

Led by Aaliyah Ali and a dedicated board, Bronzeville Helping Hand organizes tenant associations, expands cultural initiatives like the Bronzeville Smooth Jazz Festival and Emerging Black Artist Exhibits, and collaborates with medical and social service providers t.o support vulnerable families and individuals As a recognized charity, donations are tax‑deductible and help fuel ongoing work to uplift Bronzeville through housing stability, holistic health, and cultural empowerment bronzevillehelpinghandinc.com
